Reuse Organisations
A number of local community organisations will
pass on your unwanted furniture, electrical items, bicycles and
other household items to people in need or make them available at
low cost. They often also have other social benefits such as
providing support to adults with disabilities, offering employment
and training.
Contact information for reuse
organisations in your area and details about what items you can
donate.
Charity Shops
Your old clothes, toys, books and bric-a-brac
can be taken to a local charity shop. The Association of Charity
Shops will help you find out where many of your local shops
are. http://www.charityshops.org.uk/
Formed in 1999, the association is the only member
organisation dedicated to supporting registered charities that run
shops as part of their fundraising activities.
