Discount Compost bins now on sale at Worcestershire
Resource Exchange
Let's Waste Less has teamed up with local
charity Worcestershire Resource Exchange to encourage even more
residents to take up the increasingly popular art of home
composting.
The new partnership will give you the
opportunity to see the 330 litre capacity compost bins at the
Worcestershire Resource Exchange scrap store before buying one. The
compost bins, which are black in colour and made of 100 per cent
recycled plastic, are being sold for a bargain £11, while stocks
last.
County Councillor Anthony
Blagg, Cabinet Member for Environment and
Waste Management, said: "We are very excited to team up
with Worcestershire Resource Exchange to help residents make
excellent compost to use in their garden and reduce the amount of
waste they produce, thus reducing the biodegradable waste sent to
landfill."
The Worcestershire Resource Exchange is a
'scrap store' which collects clean and safe waste from local
industries and business, diverting it from landfill. This
'Aladdin's Cave' of low cost reclaimed material is then made
available to members as a creative resource for projects.
If you are interested in buying a bin from
Worcestershire Resource Exchange please note that it is only open
Thursday 12pm – 7pm, Fridays 10am – 5pm and Saturday 10am –
1pm. Worcestershire Resource Exchange full address is Unit 9A
Shrub Hill Industrial Estate, Worcester, WR4 9EL. Visit
http://www.wre.uk.com/contact-us/how-to-find-us.htm for
directions.
This offer is only available to residents of
Herefordshire and Worcestershire. Maximum two compost bins
per customer. Please note that the offer to buy two compost bins
and get the second for half price does not apply at the
Worcestershire Resource Exchange.
More than 90,000 people across Herefordshire
and Worcestershire have picked up a bargain bin since the County
Council discounted scheme began, but until recently, residents have
only been able to take advantage of the offers online, by post or
over the phone.
Residents of Herefordshire and Worcestershire
who are unable to go to the Worcester Resource Exchange can
alternatively still buy a compost bin from as little as £8 (+ £5
delivery) by following this link.
