Composting
Transform your grass cuttings and vegetable peelings, into
compost, that will make your flowers bloom.
Compost is a natural process that transforms your kitchen and
garden waste into a free valuable and nutrient rich food for your
garden. Composting is an easy way to reduce the amount of
waste that you send to landfill.
Herefordshire
and Worcestershire residents can buy a compost bin for as
little as £8 (+ £5 delivery)
Tip
For the best results find a sunny spot
on soil in your garden to place your bin and somewhere that you can
get to easily. Fill a kitchen caddy with banana skins, tea bags,
potato peelings, toilet roll tubes and cereal boxes and mix with
grass cuttings and twiggy garden waste in the compost bin, to get a
good mix.
Fact
Composting at home for just one year can
prevent greenhouses gases equivalent to all the CO2 your kettle
produces annually or your washing machine in 3 months(1)
