NewStarts

Registered charity NewStarts is an example of one of the many reuse organisations across Herefordshire and Worcestershire that work hard to help residents to reuse.

NewStarts passes on unwanted, good quality furniture, electrical appliances and other household goods at low cost or no cost to vulnerable families and individuals in genuine need.

In 2009 - 2010 Newstarts' hardworking staff and volunteers helped 383 individuals and families with household goods. 128 of these were families of which 58 had been homeless. 895 items were given to these families as well as 7 bags of groceries and 3 boxes of toys.

Over the year it is estimated that 2685 household items were diverted from landfill and put to good use by those in need.
